Palo Verde High to Sponsor
Appreciation Breakfast for D-M Families

Palo Verde High Magnet School, 1302 S. Avenida Vega, will host a breakfast for
school families who live on the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base from 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday,
Dec. 15, in the school cafeteria.
Special guests will include a ranking officer from the base; principals from Palo
Verde, its feeder school Wheeler Elementary and neighboring Our Mother of Sorrows
Elementary; and City Council member Shirley Scott (or her representative). The Jubileers,
Palo Verde’s advanced student choir, will provide entertainment, and Student Council
members will prepare the breakfast fare.
Members of the school’s Student Council teamed with administrators and seniors
living in the nearby Terra del Sol neighborhood to organize the breakfast as a way of
showing the school’s appreciation of military families.
"We are aware that in this time of national crisis, our students and their
families need our support and thanks for the sacrifices they make in our behalf,"
says Palo Verde Principal Barbara Wayne.
