Manzo Students Receive Donation From UA

The University of Arizona’s budget department will present over 300 elementary students with a generous supply of books and supplies at 1 p.m. on Dec. 10 at Manzo Elementary School, 855 N. Melrose Ave., in the auditorium. 

The budget department collected the items through a book drive held in November and several fund-raisers that focused on literacy. The UA had previously worked with the Manzo community during the United Way Days of Caring resulting in the budget department adoption of the school.

The Manzo cheerleaders will perform “Bear Down Arizona” and the principal and a student will show their appreciation through a speech.
