Family Star Gazing Event at Safford Elementary

Students and their families will be treated to a guided star gazing event by several local astronomers during Family Astro Night tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15 at Safford Elementary School, 200 E. 13th St. 

Richard C. Munsterteiger, department manager at Raytheon’s Naval Weapon Systems, along with several other amateur and professional astronomers will have high-powered telescopes available for use by students and their family members. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served.
