Southwest Family Resource and
Wellness Center to Distribute Food and Toys to Neighborhood Families

TUSD’s Southwest Family Resource and Wellness Center, located at 6855 S.
Mark Road, will distribute food boxes and children’s toys at 9 a.m. tomorrow,
Thursday, Dec. 20.
Working with the Community Food Bank, Drexel Heights Fire Department and numerous
community volunteers, including students and parents, the center collected enough funds
and materials to provide food boxes to 470 families and toys for 800 children from
throughout TUSD.
Other center news includes the upcoming opening of a Tucson Public Library branch on
site, as well as the renovation of the TUSD satellite clothing bank, also on site, made
possible by a recently awarded $19,000 Community Block Grant.
