Dear Families of Johnson Primary School,
It is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another exciting school year at Johnson. I have missed you and I am thrilled to welcome you back to a new school year full of learning, growing and surprises! No degree can ever prepare us for the challenges that will continue to come our way, however, whether we are on a remote learning schedule or physically at school, this year will be revolutionary!
As we enter this new school year, I want to remind you that our staff will continue to engage in conversations around a safety and equitable learning conditions, both for our students and for ourselves. I believe every person in our Johnson Community will be able support our students’ learning by focusing on relationships first. #strongertogether
It is our purpose to have every student feel welcomed, connected and a part of our Johnson family! Proud to be a Rainbow Maker!
I feel so privileged to continue this new chapter of my professional life leading a school with such dedicated staff, fantastic students and supportive families! I continue to look forward in building relationships, guiding and learning to provide an engaging experience for our students.
I know our students are getting excited and ready for their return to school (via online) we are working hard and preparing for their return. Here are a few reminders for you.
• Remote Learning: By now teachers should have reached out to you. They will be sending information via DOJO and sending their schedules soon. It is very important that our students are on time every day. Our teachers will be taking attendance.
• Depending on the date we open as an On-Site Learning School, tardy students must sign in at the front office and receive a tardy slip to class. Parents need to accompany their child into the building to sign them in after 9:15 a.m. for security purposes. If your child will be absent, please call Mr. Eddie Frias our Attendance Registrar @ 908-3802 or Mrs. Lilly Vasquez our office manager @ 908-3800 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
• On Site Learning: Safety is always a priority at Johnson Primary. Please remember that all doors to the school including the front doors are locked during the day. Please remember to use the appropriate drop off and pick up areas located in front of the school. Please remind your child(ren) to use the marked crosswalk areas. We also ask that you follow all designated parking and no parking area signs. At dismissal, all students will be escorted to the designated pick up areas.
• Please make sure to read our Parent Handbook for On Site learning.
I would like to introduce our new staff and a wonderful addition to our Johnson Family.
