Young Journalist Club

Five students at our school committed themselves this year to the Young Journalist Club. This club was founded during the second semester of the 2000-2001 schoolyear by Ms. Billings.
Initially, students were going to write articles for the Bear Essential News for kids. Now, they are writing articles for "Roberts Elementary NEWS".
Last year, two students had their work published. One of them was Luie Romero who curently still is an active member of the club. Luie got the opportunity to broadcast his story on Channel 4 News.
This year, four new students joined the club. They are: Thamana Vassan,Cameron Riegel, Estephanie Aguilar, and Juanita Blanco. All five young journalists decided to create a newspaper for our school. They are very proud to present to you the first edition of "Roberts Elementary NEWS"
