Online Registration for 2020-2021 Opens January 27th
It is important to remember that Rincon students need to re-register every year. TUSD allows “green light” open enrollment at all TUSD high schools (excluding University High) until all of the available spaces are filled. Please make sure you follow the instruction below, to ensure that your student is appropriately registered if planning to return to Rincon next year.
Registration opens January 27th, 2020 ONLINE through your ParentVue account.
ParentVue gives you access to all of your TUSD students with one log-in, so registration for multiple children is simple.
No need to visit different campuses; no more writers’ cramp.
You will upload the following registration documents in ParentVue:
If you need a ParentVue activation key, please visit Rincon’s Attendance Office and show your ID. Forgot your password? Call us at 232-5602; we can assist you.
Do you need access to a computer? Would you like some one-on-one help with the registration process? We are happy to help.

-Student Course Selection
All Rincon students will be choosing their classes for next year at the end of this month. Please talk to your students about the courses they plan to select. If you have questions about specific courses, please reach out to your child’s counselor for assistance.
Keep in mind, TUSD has recently approved a weighted grade scale for students who complete year-long AP and core content college level courses at a 5.0 weight. Elective credits that count for college credit are weighted at 4.5.
-Sock Drive
Rincon is participating in the TUSD sock drive. If you would like to donate new socks for people in need, please drop them of in the sock drop-box located in the career center. Socks are a luxury that many of take for granted during this colder time of year. If every student and staff member could donate just one pair of new socks, we’d be able to protect the feet and warmth of over 1300 people in need. Any size, shape and color is welcome.
-11th Grade Science Field Test
Rincon was selected by the state to participate in a field study. Juniors will be participating in a state of Arizona science field this month. The state is field testing science questions as they work to rewrite the
high science proficiency test. We encourage students to do their best so the state can get an accurate read on the validity of their questions. However, the results will not count towards student records in any way.
-Tax Credits
Many of our amazing programs are generously supported by your tax credit donations. The 2019 Tax Credits for any extracurricular activity at any of our schools can be given all the way through April 15, 2020. The 2020 Tax Credits can start on January 1, 2020.
Anyone paying state taxes can contribute tax credits to your child’s activities. It is a dollar for dollar credit. Married couples can give up to $400 per year and single people can give up to $200 per year. The tax credit website makes it very easy (see below). Thank you for your support and your generosity. We appreciate your contributions a tremendous amount.
