News 2019-2020

This Month at TAP

Teenage Parent High School invites students and their parents to attend the following events during the 2019-20 school year:

November is National Hunger Awareness and Good Nutrition Month

November is National Hunger Awareness month and TAP is reaching out to our larger community to help us meet the nutritional needs of our students and their children.  Every month, TAP students must decide between purchasing food for themselves and/or their families or formula for their babies.  Hunger is an on going issue for many of our students and we hope you will help by donating baby formula or food cards to local grocery stores so when needed, we can provide students with the food assistance they need.  Let’s stamp out hunger.

What Makes Us Special

Teenage Parent High School has more than 50 years of experience in supporting pregnant and parenting teens to continue and graduate from high school. The school offers four nurseries, staffed with experienced Infant Care Specialists who care for babies and mentor teens in best parenting practices.  TAP High School provides all classes needed to complete a TUSD High School Diploma and all courses are aligned with a rigorous curriculum developed to prepare students for college and career success.  TAP teachers are highly qualified in multiple content areas and are very experienced in meeting the diverse learning needs of our students.

Many students have graduated from TAP while others have returned to their home schools to graduate.  See videos below to hear from former students about TAP and their experiences at our school.
