This Month at TAP

Teenage Parent High School invites students and their parents to attend the following events during the 2019-20 school year:

Friday, September 13 Parent Teacher Conferences 2:45 – 4:45 pm

TAP will host parent teacher conferences from 2:45 to 4:45 pm on Friday September 13.  TAP’s first Family Engagement Meeting for 2019 -20 will be held from 2:30 to 3:00 in the TAP Conference room on Friday the 13th.  Please join your student, teachers and staff for this important meeting and conferences to learn about TAP programming and how to best support your student in high levels of learning and ensuring graduation is reached.

ASVAB Testing on September 25, 2019 @ 8:45 am

The ASVAB—Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery will be given at TAP High School on September 25, 2019 at 8:45 am.  The test measures one’s knowledge in eight areas:  General Science, Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Mathematics, Electronics, Auto and Shop and Mechanical.  Though this is a pre-test for armed forces application and entry, it can also provide good insight on student strengths in the various areas listed.  TAP strongly encourages all Juniors and Seniors to take this free assessment and then meet with our college counselor to review the outcomes with our college and career counselor.

Next TAP Site Council Meeting, October 16, 2019 @ 4:00 pm

Next TAP Site Council Meeting scheduled for October 16, 2019 at 4 pm.  We hope parents, students and community members will join this essential team to help determine and support 2019-20 TAP priorities.  Please contact David Rainie at David.Rainie@tusd1.org if you are interested in attending or joining this council.
