Free Grab-and-Go Meals for Kids

Friday, April 10 - Holiday: No Food Pick Ups

The district will be closed on Friday, April 10, for Spring Holiday. If you are using the Grab and Go Meal program, please pick up your meals for Friday, April 10, on Thursday, April 9.

Free meals to all children 18 and under!

During school closures, we offer free Grab-and-Go Mobilized Meals across TUSD via 12 bus routes making stops at 113 locations between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. Each bus route includes stops at school bus bays and existing bus stops where free Grab-and-Go meals will be provided. Each bus route will stop at the designated school bus bay or bus stop for 10 minutes to provide the Grab-and-Go meals. One breakfast and one lunch will be provided to each child present. These meals are free to all children 18 and under. There are no eligibility requirements--all children 18 and under can receive these free meals.

If children are NOT present at pick-up, parents/guardians will be asked to provide one of the following for meal pick-up:

  1. A student ID card, report card, or other school issued documentation with a child's name such as enrollment, class schedule, IEP etc.
  2. Show a video call home to show their children at home
  3. For children not enrolled in school: documentation with a child's name and date of birth such as a medical document
  4. If none of the above is able to be provided, staff will ask for the parent/guardian's name, child's name and school (or date of birth if not enrolled in school) which will be logged by staff.

*Staff providing the meals will not be collecting any of these documents; they just need to be shown. Staff will not touch the documents; they will just view them from the parent/guardian holding it up. If staff needs to log the parent/guardian name and information if documents are not provided, the staff will write down the information from what is verbally stated (staff will not ask the parent/guardian to write anything down).

Check the schedules below to find the closest Grab-and-Go Mobilized Meal stop near you!

*Stop times may vary depending on traffic and weather conditions.

Social Distancing for Safe Meal Pick-Up

Please note we are asking parents and children to practice the recommended social distancing of 6 feet between one another while at the bus stops to receive meals. Food Service staff will help remind parents and children of this while they are at the bus stops. We appreciate everyone's consideration of this request.
