New and Expanded Preschools in 2021

Openings have been pushed back to October 18 (from September 7).

The first day of school will be determined by when we can properly hire and staff each classroom. Once a classroom has a teacher and teaching assistants hired, we will reach out to you for placement.

Until then please only fill out one interest form. You will automatically be placed on a waitlist and will only be contacted when we begin placements.

These eight programs will serve children 3, 4 and 5 years old. Each site will have a certified preschool teacher and two assistants to teach up to 18 students.

How did PEEPs start?

Pima Early Education Program Scholarships

Thanks to the Pima County Board of Supervisors and our partners at Pima’s Community and Workforce Development, we are excited to expand our preschool programs.

The PEEPs mission is built on research which shows that children who attend high quality preschool programs are better prepared for kindergarten.  There are long term benefits, too: Children are more likely to graduate high school, have higher incomes, and have better health. High quality preschool benefits not only children, but also families, schools and our community as a whole.

The Tucson Unified School District is proud to be a partner with the county in this important investment in our future.
