How to Use This Page

This page contains a "menu" of lessons and activities for this week's learning at home. You will find the objectives: the specific skills that your child will be able to do. Then you will find a selection of lessons and activities which help your child master those skills. If you run into technical issues or other difficulties with any of these, simply move on and choose another. These activities fit into the Sample Dailly Schedule.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Your child DOES NOT have to complete all activities listed for each subject.
  • Activities have been identified to give your child choice and variety.
  • Your child's teacher may suggest other activities more appropriate for your child.

Screen-free activities
Create an “I Am” Quilt
Materials 8-inch squares of white or light-colored construction paper, paper bag, or cardboard
markers or collage materials (such as photo or recipes)
Celebrate your cultural with a quilt. Using markers create an image on their square that represents your family’s culture. Use different materials, such as photographs or recipes.
A moment in time
Interview a loved one. Interview a loved one about an event in your life. Write down how they experienced that event. Then, write down your experience of the same event. Compare the two experiences.

Actividades fuera de línea
Haz una colcha de tu cultura.
Materiales: cuadrados de 8 pulgadas de papel color blanco o de otro color claro, una bolsa de papel o cartón.
Marcadores, fotos, recetas, dibujos o cualquier otra cosa para hacer un collage.
