How to Use This Page

This page contains a "menu" of lessons and activities for this week's learning at home. You will find the objectives: the specific skills that your child will be able to do. Then you will find a selection of lessons and activities which help your child master those skills. If you run into technical issues or other difficulties with any of these, simply move on and choose another. These activities fit into the Sample Dailly Schedule.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Your child DOES NOT have to complete all activities listed for each subject.
  • Activities have been identified to give your child choice and variety.
  • Your child's teacher may suggest other activities more appropriate for your child.

Literacy Objectives: Students will be able to: 

  • I can show I understand the story by telling a family member about the key events of the story I heard or read. 
  • I can decode high frequency words in the story. 
  • I can recognize and read and spell my sight words. 
  • I can learn new key vocabulary words in the story and use them when speaking to a family member about the story I read. 

Workbook Activities 

Make sure you are logged in. Click on Resources- Unit 3 and practice Book pages. Choose 2 pages per day to complete.

Click on your book on "My Books"

Read to yourself then read to someone.  

Narrate the Video 

Watch Videos on Unit 3   Farm Animals.  

The videos have no sound. Write or tell your own story using your new vocabulary words. Share it with a family member. 

Songs, Vocabulary and Phonics Games 

Choose Unit 3: Choose a game, song, vocabulary builder. Add words you know to your My Vocabulary Notebook.

 Assessment 

 

Explore the games, videos and find out more information on farm animals. Draw a picture of one of your favorite farm animals. Write about something new that you learned.
