2003-2004 Evelyn Jay Excellence in Education Award Recipient
Sylvia
Morales, reading tutor at Soleng Tom Elementary School, is the
first recipient of EEF's Evelyn Jay Excellence in Education Award. Sylvia
Morales, as described by Soleng Tom's principal Theresa A. Sonnleitner,
has for nearly twenty years, "worked with students struggling to
realize the joys of literacy. To describe Sylvia's work with children
is to describe poetry in motion."
The Educational Enrichment Foundation is proud to award Ms. Morales $500 as a tribute to her achievements and ongong dedication to her K-3 students. The presentation was made Wednesday morning, February 25, 2004.
