EEF's International Language Poetry Celebration
Tucson Unified high school students are invited to participate in the Educational Enrichment Foundation's International Language Poetry Celebration. This new program encourages and rewards the literary creativity of Tucson Unified students. Multilingual Tucson Unified high school students are invited to submit 2-3 poems in two languages (English and one other language). Submission Deadline: 4 p.m., November 7
Seminar for Participants
Participating students are invited to join a creative writing seminar at the Helen S. Schaefer Poetry Center at the University of Arizona. Seminars will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, 17, and 24. Students attend one of these dates. Interested students should contact their teachers or principals. More information is available in the celebration announcement (In MS Word | In Adobe PDF).
Scholarship Prizes
Scholarships will be awarded to students whose poems are judged to be the best.
First place - $3,000
Second place - $2,000
Third place - $1,000
