The Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) are a set of standardized, individually administered measures (tests) of early literacy development. They are designed to be short (one minute) fluency measures used to regularly monitor the development of pre-reading and early reading skills.
DIBELS is administered to all TUSD K-3 students and to 4th and 5th graders who did not meet or exceed on the reading portion of AIMS in the previous year. AZ READS is the law that requires such testing.
