We have many exciting opportunities at our school that provide our students with a well-balanced and challenging education program, including AVID, self-contained Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), Opening Minds through the Arts (OMA) and 21st Century Community Learning (21st CCLC).
Rosalinda Rodriguez Rosalinda Rodriguez
Dr. Rodriguez is the current principal at Wheeler Elementary, a Tucson Unified School District #1 school, in Tucson Arizona. She earned her doctorate in 2022 from the University of Phoenix. Her dissertation titled, The Role Of Emotional Intelligence Training in Educational Leadership: A Correlational Analysis, focused on the impact that leaders who possess emotional intelligence have on their campus culture. She was named AZALAS Outstanding Administrator of the Year in 2021, for her dedication to supporting students reach their full potential. Last year, Dr. Rodriguez presented her research at the AZALAS conference, most recently she presented a webinar for Voces of ALAS, and she is honored to have been selected to be part of the 4 Corners Latinx Leadership Academy 23-24 cohort. In addition, Dr. Rodriguez recently co-authored Latina Radiance: Love Letters to the Soul, a book in which 35 Latina leaders embrace their identity, culture, and share their inspirational stories that made them the leaders they are today. She is celebrating her 23rd in public education, entering her 7th year as a school administrator.
