  • Juega y Aprende (Spanish): Presentado por Arizona’s Children Association

  • Play and Learn (English): Presented by Arizona’s Children Association

    Join us for weekly interactive parent-child activities to help your child learn important skills through  play! Zoom workshops include: Songs & Stories, Parent- Child activities, and Parenting Support &  Education. These play classes are flexible, and participants can attend all classes, or drop-in as their  schedule allows. Please register through the link provided.

  • Reading Seed Families: Presented by Literacy Connects

    A FREE five-week online workshop series designed for parents and caregivers of children in grades K-5. 

    Explore reading and writing strategies that can be used to create a fun and joyful literacy experience at home with kids. Learn with other parents, caregivers, and Literacy Connects staff in a supportive and collaborative space. Participants will receive free age-appropriate books and writing resources.  Sessions meet once a week for 90 minutes via Zoom.

  • First Five Years: Presented by Arizona’s Children Association

    This 4-session series will help nurture your child with a "just right combination" of freedom and positive discipline. Learn about your child's development and growing brain, preventing tantrums and other problems, and using mindfulness to keep calm. You will also learn 6 ways to prepare your child for school success. Participants will receive class materials and gifts for attending!

    Parent volunteers will demonstrate how to cook nutritious meals using ingredients from the Family Resource Centers food pantry. Participants will also learn how to make easy low-cost meals. Please click on the link to register.

  • Active Parenting: Presented by Child & Family Resources
    This free six-week program will focus on giving parents/guardians the tools they need to better communicate with their children. We will dive into brain development and how it affects children’s behavior.   • English Language Acquisition for Adults (ELAA): Presented by Literacy Connects

    This class is offered to any adult with a desire to learn and improve their English. Students may choose from beginning, high beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes. Sign up by January 11.

  • GED Preparation Class: Presented by Literacy Connects

Talk It Out

Talk It Out New counseling services a joint U of A and TUSD program

*TUSD students, parents, guardians, and immediate family members, Talk It Out is currently booked through December 2020.  When you submit a request, you will be placed on a waitlist for counseling services.  Talk It Out staff will contact you when they begin scheduling appointments for January 2021.
