CPR and First Aid Cards

Many Tucson Unified job classifications require employees to hold current CPR and First Aid Certifications. CPR and First Aid certification can be either two separate cards or one card with both. Trainings are valid for a period of two years and must be kept current while employed in these classifications.

Training can be accepted from any authorized provider with the following exceptions:

  • NO online trainings
  • NO trainings by independent provider Joe Villa
  • NO trainings by National Mine Health and Safety Academy for employees in Exceptional Education positions

The list below has suggested providers, but is not exclusive.

  • American Red Cross - 318-6740 (visit their website for registration)
  • Save A Life - 623-8484 (visit their website for registration)
  • Desert Fire - 440-4277 (5th & Alvernon)
  • Eclipse CPR - 623-0539
  • Local Fire Stations may provide additional classes.

Current Tucson Unified employees who work in Ex Ed job classifications are eligible to attend Tucson Unified Transportation trainings. Trainings are held most Saturdays from 7am to 1pm. Cost is $14 Money Order or Cashier’s Check. Registration is required via True North Logic. For more information, call Transportation at 225-4801 or 225-4820.

All employees are eligible to attend training held at the School Safety Office. This 6 hour class is split for your convenience on both Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5pm-8pm.  Both classes must be attended to receive CPR and First Aid cards. Registration is required through TrueNorth Logic.
