If logbm=logbn, then m=n.

To solve a logarithmic equation by expressing each side as a logarithm of the same base:
Rewrite the equation in the form: logbm=logbn

Set m=n

Solve for the variable.


To solve a logarithmic equation by using exponents:
Isolate the logarithmic expression.
Rewrite as exponent.
Solve for the variable.
