Use the following link to find three scientific articles of your interest and identify the independent and dependent variables in the study:  Directory of Open Access Journals


Independent Variable:  A variable (often denoted by x) whose variation does not depend on that of another.

Dependent Variable:  A variable (often denoted by y) whose value depends on that of another.

Research Question:  A research question is the question around which you center your research. It should be clear: it provides enough specifics that one's audience can easily understand its purpose without needing additional explanation.
