Pick a semi regular Polyhedron to make from these pictures: Archimedean Solids
Then find the net or layout to create the solid from these: Polyhedra Nets
Build your polyhedron, send a selfie with it to your teacher
Find the surface area of your polyhedron by measuring and find the area of each side and adding them all up.

Key Vocabulary / Formulas/ Things to Remember

Polyhedron - A polyhedron is a 3-dimensional solid made by joining together polygons. These structures are named and defined by the number of faces it has.
Net of a solid – The connected two-dimensional shapes that would fold to create the exterior of a three dimensional solid.
Surface Area – the sum of the areas of each surface of a three dimensional solid.

Platonic Solid - one of the five regular polyhedrons: tetrahedron, octahedron, hexahedron, icosahedron, or dodecahedron.
Archimedean Solid - A polyhedron whose faces are regular polygons and whose angles are all congruent. The faces may all be of the same type, in which case the solid is a regular polyhedron, or may be of different types. There are only thirteen Archimedean solids.
