How to Use This Page

This page contains a "menu" of lessons and activities for this week's learning at home. You will find the objectives: the specific skills that your child will be able to do. Then you will find a selection of lessons and activities which help your child master those skills. If you run into technical issues or other difficulties with any of these, simply move on and choose another. These activities fit into the Sample Dailly Schedule.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Your child DOES NOT have to complete all activities listed for each subject.
  • Activities have been identified to give your child choice and variety.
  • Your child's teacher may suggest other activities more appropriate for your child.

Social Studies Objectives: Students will be able to:

  • understand that weather is important to people and examine how it affects their comfort, their food supply, and even their safety.
  • define and understand that the environment includes everything living and everything nonliving.
  • examine how all other living things rely on the nonliving parts of the environment to survive.

Objetivos: Los estudiantes van a poder entender que:

  • el tiempo es importante para la gente. Afecta cómo se siente el cuerpo, sus recursos de comida, y su seguridad aún.
  • el medio ambiente incluye todo lo que tiene vida y todo lo que no tiene vida. Las personas, los animales, las plantas, y todas las cosas vivientes depende en las partes del medio ambiente que no tiene vida para sobrevivir.

weather: the daily state of the atmosphere, or air, in any given place.
