How to Use This Page

This page contains a "menu" of lessons and activities for this week's learning at home. You will find the objectives: the specific skills that your child will be able to do. Then you will find a selection of lessons and activities which help your child master those skills. If you run into technical issues or other difficulties with any of these, simply move on and choose another. These activities fit into the Sample Dailly Schedule.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Your child DOES NOT have to complete all activities listed for each subject.
  • Activities have been identified to give your child choice and variety.
  • Your child's teacher may suggest other activities more appropriate for your child.

Learning Objectives: Students will be able to:

  • analyze and interpret environmental data to demonstrate that species either adapt and survive or go extinct over time.
  • construct and support an evidence-based argument about the availability of water and its impact on life.

Screen Free Activities
Create a poster that illustrates and explains the importance of water conservation.

Write a skit or a play that describes the effects and importance of water conservation. Have you family help you act out the skit. If possible film it and share it with your teacher.

Journals
Keep a journal to log how much water you use each day and what you use it for. After 5 days, see what changes you can make to lower your water usage. Spread the word!
