How to Use This Page

This page contains a "menu" of lessons and activities for this week's learning at home. You will find the objectives: the specific skills that your child will be able to do. Then you will find a selection of lessons and activities which help your child master those skills. If you run into technical issues or other difficulties with any of these, simply move on and choose another. These activities fit into the Sample Dailly Schedule.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Your child DOES NOT have to complete all activities listed for each subject.
  • Activities have been identified to give your child choice and variety.
  • Your child's teacher may suggest other activities more appropriate for your child.

Grade 4 Social Studies - Week Two

4th Grade Social Studies

Week 2: April 6-10

Social Studies Objectives: Students will be able to:  

  • plan the chronological sequence of a virtual field trip.  
  • identify the geographical location and features in their chosen place. 
  • know and like who they are and can talk about their family and themselves and describe our various group identities. 

Estudios Sociales: Los estudiantes podrán:

Lesson 1- Choose a place that you have always wanted to visit. Or follow the links in the Videos box to visit somewhere virtually.

Lesson 2- Plan what you would need to do to really go to that place. What would you wear, what would you bring, who would go with you and why?

Create a Brochure/ Poster/ or Sway presentation about that place (use technology or whatever materials you have at home).

Chronological- a list of events in order that they occur

Geographical- based on the physical features of an area
