How to Use This Page

This page contains a "menu" of lessons and activities for this week's learning at home. You will find the objectives: the specific skills that your child will be able to do. Then you will find a selection of lessons and activities which help your child master those skills. If you run into technical issues or other difficulties with any of these, simply move on and choose another. These activities fit into the Sample Dailly Schedule.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • Your child DOES NOT have to complete all activities listed for each subject.
  • Activities have been identified to give your child choice and variety.
  • Your child's teacher may suggest other activities more appropriate for your child.

Math Objectives: Students will be able to:

  • count to 100 by ones and by tens.
  • decompose numbers less than or equal to 10 into pairs in more than one way (e.g., using fingers, objects, symbols, tally marks, drawings, expressions)

At Home Story Problems
Use stuffed animals or dolls to act out a story problem. Or, draw a picture to solve each story problem.
1 teddy bear is sitting under a tree. 4 more teddy bears come sit with him. Now how many bears are sitting under the tree?
5 teddy bears are going on a walk. 2 bears stop to rest. How many bears are still walking?

Offline Activity
Two Part Tower – build a tower out of objects (Legos, blocks, cans, etc). Break the tower into two parts. Tell how many are in each part and then how many there are altogether. Challenge – write a number sentence that matches your two part tower (___ + ___ = ___).
