  • Principal Welcome Back Letter

Dear Families of Johnson Primary School,

It is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another exciting school year at Johnson.  We look forward to having students back in our classrooms and hallways, filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning.  It is our purpose to have every student feel welcomed, connected and a part of our Johnson family! It is a fantastic place to be, proud to be a Rainbow Maker!

I feel so privileged to continue this new chapter of my professional life leading a school with such dedicated staff, fantastic students and supportive families! I look forward to building relationships, guiding and learning to provide an engaging experience for our students.

I know our students are getting ready for their return to school and we are working hard in preparing for their return.  We have attached a few reminders for you.

    ·       It is very important that our students are on time everyday. Tardiness provides a disruptive impact on their learning. All tardy students must sign in at the front office and receive a tardy slip to class. Parents need to accompany their child into the building to sign them in after 9:15 a.m. for security purposes. If you child will be absent, please call Mrs. Lilly Vasquez the attendance tech @ 908-3802 or email lilly.vasquez@tusd1.org

Mrs. Brenda Flynn our office manager is also readily available to support you with any other questions @ 908-3800.

    ·       Safety is always a priority at Johnson Primary. Please remember that all doors to the school except the front doors will be locked during the day. Please remember to use the appropriate drop off and pick up areas located in front of the school. Please remind your child(ren) to use the marked crosswalk areas.

    ·       We also ask that you follow all designated parking and no parking area signs. At dismissal, all students will be escorted to the designated pick up areas.

Again, I am honored to serve as the principal of Johnson Primary Elementary. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth. All of us here at Johnson Primary are committed to providing the best education for your child(ren). We need your involvement, ideas and support! Feel free to call me at 908-3800 or email me at Rosaisela.Cota@tusd1.org. You can stay informed about our school and upcoming events by visiting our website at http://edweb.tusd1.org/johnson/, and joining us for our upcoming Parent Teacher Association meetings.
