Eight UHS Graduates Named National Merit® Scholarship Winners

Eight Class of 2023 graduates from University High School have been named college-sponsored National Merit® Scholarship winners. 

Scholars will receive between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship. The recent TUSD graduates are among more than 7,140 high school seniors nationwide who have earned National Merit Scholarships this school year:

  • Jack Douglass, Biology, University of Arizona
  • Harper Gibbs, Electrical Engineering, University of Arizona
  • Trevor Nemetz, Computer Science, University of Arizona
  • Lucia Raspet, International Relations, University of Arizona
  • Lily Wood, Mechanical Engineering, University of Arizona
  • Michelle Zhang, Nursing, University of Arizona
