Together, we learn about being responsible, taking turns, and respecting one another while we play.
We understand how staying active helps us feel good, stay healthy, and enjoy our time together as a school community. Together, we learn about the amazing powers of our bodies and how to protect them from diseases. We uncover the secrets of healthy behaviors, like choosing nutritious foods and staying active, while also staying safe to prevent injury and illness.
Let's get ready to become Movement Heroes!

As we continue our journey to becoming Movement Heroes, in the 2nd quarter we dive into the wonderful world of physical activity and fitness as we practice kicking, throwing, and dribbling with our feet, as we engage in fun activities. We focus on the importance of teamwork, fair play, and supporting one another.
We explore different ways to stay active and learn how our bodies work while playing games and trying out new skills. We not only improve our physical skills but also understand how being active helps us be healthy and happy.
We learn and practice communicating our needs and feelings to others while practicing decision-making skills that help us make positive health food choices. We talk about how family and friends help us make decisions.
Let's gear up for another fantastic adventure!

In Quarter 3, we embark on an exciting journey practicing our movement skills while exploring concepts like speed; from fast sprints to slow careful movements, force, and direction in different ways. We practice more advanced motor skills such as dribbling, kicking, and balancing; we learn how these skills can be used in games and sports. We continue to focus on fair play and teamwork, making sure everyone feels included and respected.
We practice setting goals for ourselves and take actionable steps toward achieving those goals, whether it’s eating better, being more active, or how we handle being upset or stressed.
Additionally, we discuss how to advocate for ourselves and our friends to promote healthier behaviors.

In Quarter 4, we focus on developing our skills with manipulatives as we practice striking, volleying, and jumping rope while exploring how these skills can be applied in fun games and sports. We continue to learn about the importance of physical fitness and how to use our own body weight to build muscles and make us strong.
Throughout this quarter, we continue to emphasize teamwork, communication, and resolving conflicts in a positive way, ensuring everyone feels valued and included. Together, we learn to identify trusted adults and professionals who can help us make positive health choices and provide support when needed.
By the end of our journey, we have a deeper appreciation for staying active and healthy, and we are ready to share our skills and knowledge with others!
