Borton Elementary Magnet School - A Project-Based Learning/Systems Thinking Magnet School where children learn through meaningful projects that matter. Davis-Romero Bilingual Elementary Magnet School - Students don’t just learn Spanish – they live it! Tully STEAM em Powered GATE Elementary Magnet School - Curiosity drives learning. With interactive STEAM projects, GATE-inspired instruction, and ecology-rich experiences, students build strong academic skills and confidence to excel in any setting.
Roskruge Dual Language K8 Magnet School - Every student deserves to grow beyond academics. The bilingual program fosters cultural pride, personal confidence, and social-emotional development while offering enriching experiences in athletics, mariachi, folklórico, and more. At Roskruge, students learn to thrive in school, in the community, and in life.
Dodge Traditional Middle Magnet School - A high-achieving environment where students excel as scholars, athletes, artists, and leaders, supported by High School Credit courses, National Junior Honor Society, and strong teacher–family partnerships.
Mansfeld STEM+ Magnet Middle School - The school has passionate teachers to bring STEM+ practices to life in every subject. Tucson High Magnet School - The best of both worlds –with dynamic magnet programs in Natural Sciences or Visual & Performing Arts. Students can explore their passions through magnet classes, Career & Technical Education (CTE), and college-level dual credit courses – all in one vibrant, historic campus.
Demonstration Award
Magnet Schools of America designates schools that exceed the Standards of Excellence as Nationally Certified-Demonstration Schools. These schools serve as learning models for magnets across the country to replicate.
The following schools have earned Certified-Demonstration designation: Borton, Davis-Romero, Carrillo, Holladay, Mansfeld, Drachman.

Magnet Schools of America’s national certification process is designed to recognize the hard work of the best magnet schools in the nation and to help them as they grow.
The following schools have been Certified: Tucson High, Dodge, Bonillas.
Merit Awards
National m
erit awards are given to magnet schools that demonstrate a commitment to high academic standards, curriculum innovation, successful desegregation and diversity efforts, and strong parent and community involvement. To be considered for a merit award, member schools must submit an application that is scored by a panel of educators.
There are two categories of merit awards: (1) Magnet Schools of Excellence, the top merit award given to only a select group of magnet schools and (2) Magnet Schools of Distinction, the second highest award of recognition.
