Family engagement in schools means families and school staff working together to support and improve the learning, development, and health of students. This relationship reinforces children 's health, development, and learning at home, in school, and in the community.
Family involvement leads to greater student success -- including better attendance, fewer missed assignments, improved behavior, better grades, improved test scores, and a greater chance of graduating high school and going on to college.
