Students at Pueblo High School will soon have an improved school garden, thanks to a generous $10,000 grant from Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation.
The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation has been supporting school garden programs since 2015 through grants which fund operations, program supplies and educator stipends. Pueblo's grant money will help fund projects including a chicken coop, greenhouse, irrigation system, tortoise habitat, cooking courses, field trips and more.
Pueblo is home to one of the largest garden sites in Tucson Unified School District, and will now be able to be an even more vibrant, hands-on learning space for students and the community. Thanks to the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation for their generous support of our schools!
