Santa Rita High School proudly extends its sincere gratitude to Tucson Electric Power (TEP) for the generous donation of a 2015 Dodge RAM 1500 ECO diesel truck to the school’s Diesel Engine Repair program. This significant contribution strengthens our educational resources and supports students in gaining the skills necessary for success in the automotive industry.
The donated truck will serve as an essential instructional tool, allowing students to engage in hands-on training with a modern diesel vehicle. By working on real-world diagnostics, maintenance, and repair projects, students will be able to directly apply classroom knowledge to industry-relevant practices. This valuable experience not only enhances technical proficiency but also prepares students for future career opportunities in the growing field of automotive and diesel technology.
Santa Rita also wishes to extend a special thank you to Pete J. Cox, Fleet Services Supervisor at Tucson Electric Power, for his leadership in spearheading this donation. His and his team's commitment and efforts were instrumental in making this partnership possible, and their dedication to advancing student learning opportunities reflects the very best of TEP’s community values.
Santa Rita deeply appreciates TEP’s ongoing commitment to education and workforce development. Through this partnership, we are equipping students with the tools, confidence, and expertise needed to thrive in their chosen careers while contributing to the strength of our community’s workforce.
