Cholla Students Win at FCCLA Leadership Conference

Cholla students Miranda Badilla Guerrero, Arleth Cruz Martinez and Alexia Ortiz won awards at the March 27-29 FCCLA State Leadership Conference.

Three students from Cholla High School's Early Childhood Education (ECE) program brought home awards from Arizona's Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Leadership Conference, held March 27-29, 2023 at the Westin La Paloma Resort. 

Sophomores Miranda Badilla Guerrero and Arleth Cruz Martinez presented as a team on the topic, "How Different Parenting Styles Affect the Development of Children." Their presentation was scored as 100 percent by a panel of retired educators and private business leaders, earning them first place in their category. Miranda and Arleth will represent Arizona at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Denver, Colorado the week of July 1, 2023! 

Cholla senior Alexia Ortiz earned a silver medal for her presentation on the same topic.
