
Four Class of 2025 graduates from University High School have been awarded college-sponsored scholarships from the National Merit® Scholarship Corporation.
This program honors students who show exceptional academic ability in high school and potential for success in rigorous college studies. The awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution funding the scholarship.
The four UHS students were selected from a pool of nearly 7,000 qualifying finalists:
- Roy Samuel Cormode, National Merit University of Arizona Scholarship with a probable career field in Computer Science.
- Debangshu Pramanik, National Merit University of Texas at Dallas Scholarship with a probable career field in Computer Science.
- Abigail Stadheim, National Merit University of Oregon Scholarship with a probable career field in Urban/City Planning.
- Crisanna Terrell, National Merit University of Texas at Dallas Scholarship with a probable career field in Mechanical Engineering (Robotics).
