Mes de La Cultura Opening Ceremony

MASSD Student Recognition
On April 23, hundreds of students and families filled the University of Arizona Ballroom for the Mexican American Students Services annual Student Recognition. The event, which featured folklórico performances from Dodge Traditional Magnet School, opening remarks from Tucson Unified Superintendent Dr. Gabriel Trujillo, and a keynote address by Tucson Vice Mayor Lane Santa Cruz, celebrated the academic accomplishments of graduating 8th grade students and high school seniors.

 Tucson Unified’s Mexican American Student Services Department hosted college tours at the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, Pima Community College, and the University of New Mexico. These College Tours provides students with the tools to succeed in school, prepare for college, and explore campus opportunities.
