Hello everyone,

I would like to begin by giving a brief introduction of myself and my vision for college & career readiness. My name is Tais (pronounced thigh-eese) Jimenez and I work as a program specialist here in the Mexican American Student Services Department, speacializing in college and career readiness. I went through TUSD schools for the entirety of my K-12 education and I graduated from Pueblo High School in 2017. I was a first-generation college student so navigating the college going experience was difficult but I had several educators to guide and support me which inspired me to return and do the same for other students.

Due to my background and personal experiences I am able to create programming and support students in their post-secondary plans. It is my goal to support students in acheiveing their goals whether they are to go to college or directly into the workforce. I undertand that this can be a stressful and overwhelimg time for students as they begin to transition into adulthood and I am happy to support them through it however I can!

Each Semester TUSD Mexican American Student Services Department partners with the University of Arizona's office of Early Academic Outreach to provide a thorough college preparatory academy for students and parents.
