On April 2, the Palo Verde Family Resource Center held a ceremony and ribbon cutting to celebrate the unveiling of the remodeled facilities. Tucson Unified staff, families and community members were able to attend a resource fair in the small gym, get tours of the updated center, and were treated to dinner out at the quad. Thank you to everyone who not only made the event a success, but who help transform the center to better serve our students and families!

On January 11, the Southwest Family Resource Center (FRC) held its first weekly Kids Art Class of the semester. The theme for the week was Martin Luther King, Jr. and students colored MLK Jr. pages, made Liberty Bells out of cups and pipe cleaners, made ice cream cones and more. The class is part of a new series of Student Enrichment courses that just started at each of the four Family Resource Centers.
